The go-to AEG upgrade

The SHS High Torque Motor (Long) is one of the most popular internal upgrades in UK airsoft, and for good reason. It delivers the pulling power to drive heavier springs, sharpens trigger response and adds reliability, all at a price that leaves budget for the rest of your build.

Torque where it counts

High-strength neodymium magnets give consistent, efficient power delivery, so semi-auto feels snappier and full-auto cycles more smoothly under load. It is the sensible choice when you have fitted an M120 or stronger spring and need the motor to keep up.

Fits your Version 2 gearbox

The long axle is compatible with most Version 2 gearboxes, including M4, M16 and similar AEG platforms that run a long grip. Built from steel and aluminium, it is trusted by first-time techs and experienced builders alike for long-term dependability.

Fitted right

Motor height and pinion mesh matter, so if you would rather not open the gearbox yourself, our workshop can fit and tune it for you. Explore our airsoft accessories or book in with our airsoft repair service in Kent.

Frequently asked questions

Will this motor fit my gun?

It is a long-type motor, so it suits most Version 2 gearbox AEGs such as M4 and M16 platforms that use a long grip and long-shaft motor. Check your current motor length before ordering.

What is the difference between high torque and high speed?

A high-torque motor like this one prioritises pulling power, ideal for heavier springs and a snappy trigger, while a high-speed motor chases rate of fire on lighter springs.

Is it a good match for upgraded springs?

Yes. The high-torque design is well suited to setups running M120 springs and above, where the extra pulling power keeps the trigger response crisp.

Do I need any experience to fit it?

Basic gearbox knowledge helps, as motor height and pinion-to-bevel mesh need setting correctly. If in doubt our Kent workshop can fit and tune it for you.

Will it improve my rate of fire?

It can, depending on your gear ratio and battery, but its main strength is torque, so expect a firmer trigger response and more reliable cycling under load first.
