In this guide
Your airsoft gun should work every time you pull the trigger. When it doesn’t, you need someone who knows what they’re doing, not a mate with a YouTube tutorial and a screwdriver.
Platoon Stores has been stripping, servicing and upgrading airsoft guns since we opened in 2006. Our in-house technicians have nearly two decades of hands-on experience working on every major platform: AEGs, Gas Blowback (GBB) pistols and rifles, HPA systems and bolt action sniper rifles. Whether your gearbox has locked up mid-game or you want to squeeze more range and accuracy out of your setup, we’ve got the tools, the parts and the know-how.
We work out of our workshop at A10 Spectrum Business Centre on the Medway City Estate in Rochester, bring your gun in, tell us what’s wrong (or what you want) and we’ll take it from there. For DIY players, our maintenance guide covers the basics you can do at home.

Why bring your gun to Platoon Stores
Nearly 20 years of experience
We’ve been working on airsoft guns since 2006. Not just selling them, actually opening them up, diagnosing problems and putting them back together better than before. There’s not much we haven’t seen inside a gearbox.
Honest assessment
We’ll tell you what’s actually wrong and what it’ll cost before we start work. If a repair isn’t worth doing, we’ll say so. We’d rather you spent your money wisely than pay for a fix on a gun that’s past it.
Quality parts
We use reputable upgrade and replacement parts. No mystery components from unknown suppliers. If we fit a part, we’re confident in it.
Tested before it leaves
Every gun gets chronographed and function-tested after work is completed. You’ll know the FPS, the consistency and that it feeds and fires properly before you collect it.
We actually play
Our technicians are airsoft players. We understand what “it’s not feeding right” and “the trigger response feels sluggish” actually mean in practice, because we’ve dealt with it ourselves on game days.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an airsoft gun repair cost?
It depends on what’s wrong. A basic service starts from around £30-40, while a full strip-down and rebuild will be more. Upgrades are priced based on the parts and labour involved. We always quote before we start, no surprises.
Do I need to book an appointment?
No appointment is needed to drop your gun off. Just bring it in during opening hours and speak to a member of the team.
Can you fix any brand of airsoft gun?
We work on all major brands and platforms, G&G, CYMA, Tokyo Marui, WE, ASG, Nuprol, Evolution and more. If it’s a less common platform, bring it in and we’ll take a look.
How long will it take?
Typical turnaround is 3-14 working days depending on the work required and parts availability. We’ll give you an estimate when you drop off.
Can you upgrade my gun to a specific FPS?
Yes. We tune guns to your requirements and your site’s specific FPS limits. Let us know what site you play at and what role you play and we’ll set it up accordingly. Not sure about your site’s limits? Check our UK FPS limits guide.
Do you work on GBB pistols?
Yes. We service and repair gas blowback pistols from WE, Tokyo Marui, ASG and other common platforms. Common jobs include leak fixes, slide replacements and valve work.
Is it worth repairing or should I buy a new one?
We’ll always give you an honest answer on this. If a repair is going to cost more than the gun is worth, we’ll tell you and help you find a replacement if needed. If you’re looking for a new gun, our best beginner guns guide is a good starting point.
Do you offer a warranty on repairs?
We stand behind our work. If something we’ve fitted or fixed develops a fault within a reasonable timeframe, bring it back and we’ll sort it out.
Can I watch while you work on my gun?
Our workshop is in-house but not set up for customer observation during work. We’ll walk you through everything that was done when you collect it.
What should I bring with me?
Bring the gun, any magazines and the battery/gas it runs on. If you have spare parts or specific upgrade components you want fitted, bring those too. Helpful if you can describe the fault clearly, when it started, what happens and how often.
