The BCB 2 inch Mini Heliograph is a compact, highly reflective emergency signalling mirror that belongs in every survival, EDC and marine kit. Measuring just 5 x 5cm and weighing around 10 grams, it slips into any pocket or grab bag yet can throw a flash of reflected sunlight visible at ranges of up to 10 miles.
Simple, reliable, no power needed
Unlike electronic signalling devices, a heliograph needs nothing but daylight. You angle the mirror toward the sun and aim the flash at rescuers, aircraft or boats. It is designed for quick one-handed operation, with clear instructions printed on the reverse so it works even when you are cold, tired or under pressure.
Built for the worst conditions
Lightweight but robust, it stands up to hard use in extreme environments and, crucially, floats if dropped in water, making it ideal for boat, kayak and coastal kits.
