The 5.11 Tactical PT-R H2O vest plate lets you add real training load without buying heavy steel. Fill it with water to reach the weight you want, then simply empty it for storage or travel. It is the flexible way to scale resistance up and down as your fitness improves.

Stay cool under load

Because the plate holds water, you can also pack it with ice for hot sessions. That extra cooling against your core makes long conditioning work, rucks and circuits far more bearable when the temperature climbs.

Built to take a beating

Constructed from ultra-tough, abrasion-resistant TPU with radio-frequency welded seams, the plate resists splitting and leaking. A wide-fill opening with a sliding seal makes filling fast, and internal baffles reduce sloshing so the load stays stable as you move.

How does the H2O plate add weight?

You fill it with water through the wide seal opening. That lets you dial in the load you want, up to around 5 lb of water per plate, and empty it again for easy storage and travel.

Can I put ice in it as well as water?

Yes. The plate is designed to hold water or ice, so on hot days you can add ice to help keep your core cool while you train under load.

Will it leak during a workout?

It is built from tough TPU with RF-welded seams and a sliding seal on the fill port, so it is made to stay watertight through running, jumping and floor work.

Does it fit any weight vest?

It is shaped for the 5.11 PT-R weighted vest and compatible plate pockets. Check the internal pocket dimensions of other vests against the 13" x 11" x 1.25" plate size before buying.

Why choose water over a solid steel plate?

Water is free, adjustable and travels light when empty, and the soft filled plate is more comfortable and safer against the body than a rigid steel plate during dynamic training.
