⚠️ Read This Part First

This is an accessory carabiner. It is for clipping kit to kit. It is not rated for climbing, abseiling, fall arrest, rescue or anything else where a person’s weight or safety depends on it. Never use an unrated carabiner for load bearing, no matter how solid it feels in your hand. If you need one that holds a person, you need a certified climbing carabiner, and we will point you at one.

What It Is Actually For

With that said, these are enormously useful. Keys, a torch, a water bottle, a dump pouch, a helmet, gloves that would otherwise be lost. Anything you want attached to your kit and off the ground. Once you own a few you find uses constantly.

Why Locking

The screw gate is what separates this from a keyring clip. A plain gate can be nudged open by webbing or a strap and quietly shed whatever was on it. Screw the collar down and it stays shut through a day of movement, which is worth the extra second when what you clipped on matters.

Size

At 6cm it is compact enough to sit on a MOLLE strap or a belt loop without dangling. More kit accessories are in our tactical range.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this for climbing?

No, absolutely not. This is an accessory carabiner for attaching kit. It is not rated for climbing, abseiling, rescue or any load bearing use. Use a certified climbing carabiner for anything where a person's weight is involved.

What is it good for then?

Clipping gear to gear: keys, a torch, a water bottle, a dump pouch, gloves. Anything you want secured to your kit and not on the floor.

Why does the locking gate matter?

A plain gate can be pushed open by webbing or a strap and lose whatever was clipped to it. A screw gate stays shut through a day of movement.

How big is it?

6cm, which is compact enough to sit on a MOLLE strap or belt loop without swinging about.
