These 9mm steel ball bearings replace the plain bushings that support the gear axles inside your AEG gearbox. Because they roll instead of sliding, they cut friction on the gear train, which helps the gears spin more freely for smoother cycling and better use of your battery’s power.

What they replace

Most stock gearboxes ship with plastic or basic metal plain bushings. Swapping in ball bearings is one of the classic first upgrades when you rebuild or refresh a gearbox, and it pairs well with a proper re-shim.

Correct fitment

They are designed for Version 2 and Version 3 gearbox shells cut for 9mm bushings, which covers the majority of M4, AK and MP5 pattern AEGs. Always match the bearing outer diameter to your shell rather than to the gear axle.

Bearings versus bushings
