Reliable, biodegradable skirmish ammo

The ASG Open Blaster Bio BB in 0.20g is a dependable, site-legal choice for airsoft players who want clean feeding and consistent accuracy without harming the environment. Made from PLA, a plant-based biodegradable plastic, these BBs break down naturally outdoors, meeting the bio-only rule enforced at most UK woodland and outdoor sites.

Precision that protects your gun

Every BB is manufactured to a tight plus/minus 0.01mm tolerance with a diameter held between 5.96 and 5.98mm. The polished, seamless, high-gloss surface reduces friction through the hop-up and barrel, which means fewer jams, less wear on your hop rubber and tighter, more repeatable groupings on target.

The right weight for stock setups

At 0.20g this is the go-to weight for most standard AEGs and gas pistols firing up to around 350fps. It delivers a flat, fast trajectory at close and mid range, making it ideal for CQB and general skirmishing. If you run a hotter or upgraded gun, consider stepping up to a heavier BB for better stability.

Bulk value for game day

Each resealable bottle holds 3300 rounds, enough to see most players through a full day and easy to decant into hi-cap magazines between games. Keep a spare in your kit bag so you never run dry mid-skirmish. Browse more ammo, gas and batteries in our BBs, gas and batteries range.

Frequently asked questions

Are these BBs biodegradable?

Yes. Open Blaster Bio BBs are made from PLA, a plant-based thermoplastic derived from renewable sources such as corn starch and sugar cane. They break down naturally in the presence of moisture and oxygen, which is why most UK woodland and outdoor sites now require bio BBs.

What weight BB should a beginner use?

0.20g is the classic all-round starting weight. It suits most stock AEGs and gas pistols shooting up to around 350fps, giving a flat, predictable trajectory at typical skirmish ranges. Heavier BBs like 0.25g or 0.28g are better for higher-powered or upgraded setups.

Will these work in my gun?

Yes. These are standard 6mm airsoft BBs and fit any 6mm airsoft replica, including AEGs, gas blowback pistols and spring guns. They are not compatible with 4.5mm airgun BBs or pellet-firing air weapons.

How many games will one bottle last?

A 3300-round bottle is enough for a full skirmish day for most players, and comfortably longer for anyone running semi-auto. Many players keep a spare bottle in their gear bag to top up hi-cap magazines between games.

Why does BB quality matter?

Cheap, seamed or out-of-round BBs cause feeding jams, erratic accuracy and premature hop-up rubber wear. The polished, seamless finish and tight plus/minus 0.01mm tolerance of these BBs keeps groupings consistent and protects your gearbox and barrel.
