Reinforced where it counts

The Big Dragon 3 steel tooth piston puts hardened steel teeth at the load-bearing end of the rack, where the gears bite hardest. That gives you the strength to resist stripping under load while the lighter polymer body keeps the piston moving quickly.

Balanced performance

Three steel teeth are a popular middle ground for skirmish builds. You get extra durability at the point of highest stress without the added weight of a full steel rack, which helps maintain a healthy rate of fire on standard and lightly upgraded setups.

Fitment

This piston is designed for Version 2 and Version 3 airsoft gearboxes. Please confirm your gearbox version and cylinder setup before ordering, and inspect your gears and cylinder head for wear while the gearbox is open so you can refresh everything in one job.

Frequently asked questions

What does 3 steel tooth mean?

It means the three load-bearing teeth at the working end of the rack are hardened steel, while the rest of the piston body stays polymer to keep weight down.

Which gearboxes does it fit?

It is designed for Version 2 and Version 3 airsoft gearboxes. Please confirm your gearbox version and cylinder setup before ordering.

Do I need to be over 18 or UKARA registered?

No. This is an internal spare part rather than a complete gun, so no age restriction or UKARA membership applies to the part.

Why choose steel teeth over full polymer?

Steel teeth resist stripping at the point of highest stress, giving you extra reliability when running stronger springs or higher rates of fire.

Can you fit it for me?

Yes. Our in-house Kent team can install it as part of a gearbox service if you prefer not to open the gearbox yourself.
