The Cheapest Insurance For A CO2 Gun

CO2 airguns almost always fail the same way: a seal dries out, and the gun starts venting its charge overnight instead of holding it. Once that starts it needs stripping and reseating. These capsules prevent it, and they do so without you having to take anything apart.

How They Work

They look and fit exactly like a normal 12g CO2 capsule, but they carry lubricating oil along with the gas. Pierce one, shoot the gun through as usual, and the oil is carried through the valve and onto the seals with the gas. The maintenance happens as a side effect of plinking.

When To Use One

A sensible habit is one at the start of the season and one before the gun goes away for winter, plus one any time it has sat unused for a few months. If your gun has already started losing gas overnight, run one through before assuming it needs a reseal, because quite often that is all it wants.

How do I use them?
