Enola Gaye’s user-friendly top-pull smoke
The TP40 is Enola Gaye’s Top Pull smoke grenade, engineered to be simple and reliable. The igniter has been refined to cut out nearly all user error, and the ring pulls from the top of the device to start the burn. Pull the ring and around 60 seconds of brilliantly coloured smoke follows.
Purple smoke
This version produces purple smoke, one of the nine colours in the TP40 line. The smoke is non-toxic and vents from a quad-ported outlet at the top of the grenade, giving a large cloud from a compact device.
Compact and effective
The TP40 is small and easy to carry, measuring around 40mm in diameter and 130mm long and weighing roughly 140g, of which about 50g is the smoke composition. That compact size makes it a favourite for airsoft, milsim, signalling and photography.
How it works
Remove any cap, then pull the top ring firmly. After a short delay the smoke builds and pours from the top vent for the duration of the burn. It is designed for outdoor use.
Safety and use
This is a pyrotechnic device for over-18s only. Use outdoors, keep a safe distance once ignited, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the device. Eye protection and gloves are sensible when handling any smoke grenade.
