The Part That Feeds The Gun
The tappet plate pulls the air nozzle back on each cycle so a BB can drop in, then lets it spring forward to seal against the hop rubber. It is driven by a cam on the sector gear and it operates on every shot the gun ever fires. Being small and plastic, it is also one of the first things to break.
Diagnosing It
If the gun runs, sounds normal, and no BBs come out, the tappet plate is the first suspect. The tail snaps, the nozzle stops being drawn back, and nothing gets chambered. It is a five pound part that takes a gun out of a game.
V3, Not V2
Version 3 gearboxes go in AK, G36, MP5 and SIG pattern AEGs. Most M4s run a Version 2 and the parts do not swap. The two are easy to confuse from photographs, so if you are unsure which is in your gun, ask before ordering rather than after.
Fitting
Not sure whether this is the right part for your gun, or would rather someone else fitted it? Our Rochester workshop services and upgrades AEGs in house, and we would rather check compatibility with you first than have you order twice.
