Which gearboxes does the ASTER V2 Basic fit?
It is designed for Version 2 gearboxes, including stock, low-tuned and mid-tuned setups. That covers most M4, M16, MP5, G3 and SCAR-pattern AEGs that use a V2 gearbox.
What is the difference between rear wired and front wired?
This is the rear-wired version, where the wiring exits towards the back of the gearbox. Choose rear wired if your battery sits in the buffer tube or rear stock rather than the handguard.
Do I need a computer to programme it?
No. The Basic firmware can be configured entirely via the trigger using the supplied programming card. If you want a fuller interface you can add a USB-Link or Blu-Link and use GATE's free GCS app.
What battery can I run with it?
The maximum operating voltage is 12.75V, which corresponds to an 11.1V LiPo. Absolute maximum is 17V and minimum is 3V, so 7.4V and 11.1V LiPo packs are ideal.
