Oiled Leather Needs Feeding, Not Polishing
Oiled leather is not the same as the smooth leather on a parade shoe and it does not want the same treatment. It needs its oils replacing as they dry out, and a wax polish sits on top rather than going in. Feed it and it stays supple and water resistant. Neglect it and it dries, stiffens and eventually cracks across the flex points.
How To Use It
Get the dirt off first, because anything you leave on you are about to rub in. Then a drop of gel on a clean cloth, worked into the leather in circles, and leave it to dry. That is the whole process. It takes five minutes and it is the single highest return maintenance job in your kit.

It suits any colour of oiled leather, so one pot covers black boots, brown boots and everything else on the rack rather than needing a tin per pair.
