Reinforced to survive recoil
Tokyo Marui’s recoil engine is superb fun but hard on internals, and stock parts often wear far faster than in a standard AEG. This piston is moulded from reinforced high-strength polymer to withstand the added stress of the blowback system, helping your gearbox last significantly longer between rebuilds.
Metal teeth and precise alignment
The first four teeth are metal alloy for strong, positive engagement with the sector gear, the area that takes the most punishment. A redesigned cutaway at the top of the piston improves alignment inside the recoil engine for smoother, more consistent cycling.
Genuine Laylax quality and fitting
Made in Japan to Prometheus standards, it pairs best with a matching Prometheus piston head and cylinder head to minimise angle of engagement issues. Fitting requires opening the gearbox, so if you would rather leave it to the experts, our Kent workshop can carry out the upgrade for you.
