The Highlander Tempest over trousers are built to keep you dry when the weather turns. They use a three-layer AB-TEX tri-laminate fabric that is waterproof, windproof and breathable, backed by fully taped seams so water cannot sneak through the stitching. The rated waterproofing is 5000mm hydrostatic head with 5000g/m2 breathability.
Designed to go on over your kit
Zipped lower legs with hook-and-loop storm flaps let you pull these on and off over your boots without stopping to unlace, which is exactly what you want when a shower catches you mid walk. The elasticated waist with drawcord and adjustable cuffs pull everything in for a snug, secure fit.
Practical details
Zipped pockets with storm flaps keep small items dry, and the breathable membrane lets moisture escape so you do not overheat and dampen from the inside on longer efforts.
Where they work
These are a genuine all-rounder for hiking, camping, fishing, dog walking and general outdoor use in the UK climate. Lightweight enough to pack down and carry as a just-in-case layer, tough enough to wear all day in a downpour.
