Detachable headset design
The PTT terminates in a TP120 socket, which lets the headset be removed while the switch stays connected to the radio. This means the headset can be swapped or stored without repeatedly stressing the radio’s own connector.
Protects your radio
Because the headset disconnects at the PTT rather than at the handset, the radio socket sees far fewer connect and disconnect cycles. Over time that reduces wear on the radio socket, a common failure point on hard-worked sets.
