A big, full-power springer

The Milbro Explorer is a full-size break-barrel spring-piston air rifle with a practical all-weather synthetic stock. Available in .177 and .22, it shoots just under the UK 12 ft/lb limit and is well suited to target practice and garden pest control.

Sights and shooting

Fibre optic front and rear sights come fitted as standard, with the rear adjustable for windage and elevation. An 11mm dovetail rail lets you add a scope or red dot, and an integrated sound moderator on the rifled barrel keeps the report down.

Comfortable, weather-proof handling

The chequered synthetic stock is ambidextrous and shrugs off rain and knocks, finished with a rubber recoil pad. Despite a substantial 134cm length and roughly 3.65kg weight, the Explorer balances well and cocks with surprisingly little effort thanks to its long barrel.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a licence for this air rifle?

No. It is a sub-12 ft/lb air rifle needing no certificate in England and Wales, but you must be 18 or over to buy it.

Is it a big rifle?

Yes. The Explorer is a full-size rifle at around 134cm long and 3.65kg, so it may feel large for very petite or younger shooters, though it balances well.

Is it easy to cock?

The long barrel gives plenty of leverage, so despite being a full-power springer it cocks with surprisingly little effort.

Which calibre should I pick?

Choose .177 for flatter target shooting and .22 for a harder-hitting pellet at close range on garden pests. Both stay within the UK limit.

Can I fit a scope?

Yes. It has an 11mm dovetail rail so you can add a scope or red dot alongside the standard fibre optic open sights.
