Cover the sleeve Velcro on PCS kit

The British Army PCS combat shirt, jacket and UBACS have loop (Velcro) panels on the upper-arm pockets so that badges, flashes and identifiers can be attached. When those panels are empty they show the bare loop material. These MTP blanking plates cover them so the sleeves stay neat and in pattern.

MTP camouflage, sold as a pair

The plates are in MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) to blend with the rest of the uniform, and they are supplied as a matched pair, one for each arm.

Hook-and-loop attachment

Each plate has hook (Velcro) backing, so it presses straight onto the loop panels on the sleeves. They go on and come off in seconds, so you can fit recognition flashes or unit insignia for a task and put the blanking plates back afterwards for security or before washing.

Simple, practical uniform tidy-up

Whether you are cadet, forces, reenactment or airsoft, blanking plates are the tidy way to finish a PCS shirt when you are not running any badges. They also protect the loop Velcro from picking up dirt and burrs.

Frequently asked questions

What do blanking plates do?

They cover the exposed loop (Velcro) panels on the sleeves of a PCS shirt, jacket or UBACS when you are not wearing badges or flashes, keeping the arms tidy and in pattern.

How many are in the pack?

They are supplied as a pair, one for each arm.

How do they attach?

Each plate has hook Velcro on the back and presses directly onto the loop panels on the sleeves. No sewing needed.

What pattern are they?

MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) camouflage, to match PCS uniform.

Can I still fit badges when I want to?

Yes. The plates peel off in seconds, so you can fit flashes or insignia for a task and refit the blanking plates afterwards.
