Two Sticks, One Battery

A nunchuck pack splits the cells into two slim sticks joined by a lead, so instead of needing one large cavity you need two small ones. Each stick here is just 7mm thick. That is what makes nunchucks the answer for guns where a single block simply will not go, and why they have stayed popular long after the format looked old fashioned.

Where It Goes

Solid stock AEGs are the classic use, with one stick either side of the stock. Front wired guns with space in the handguard are the other. If you have been struggling to find a battery that fits, this is usually the shape that solves it.

The Numbers

Nuprol quote 20C continuous at 32A and a 40C burst at 64A on a 7.4v 1600mAh pack. That is a healthy amount of current for a stock or moderately upgraded gun, and the capacity is at the top end of what we stock.

Care And Charging

Charge LiPo packs with a proper balance charger, never a NiMH charger, and never leave one charging unattended. A charging bag and a low voltage alarm are both cheap and both worth having. Do not run a LiPo flat: once a pack is drained below its safe floor it may refuse to take charge again and can damage your AEG. Stop shooting as soon as you notice the rate of fire dropping off. Changing the connector yourself voids the warranty, but we can do it for you at the shop.

Chargers, alarms and other packs are in our batteries, gas and BBs range, and our Kent workshop handles connector changes.

Frequently asked questions

What is a nunchuck battery?

A pack split into two slim sticks joined by a lead, so it can be threaded into two small spaces rather than needing one large cavity. Each stick here is 7 x 30 x 92mm.

What guns does it suit?

Solid stock AEGs, where a stick sits either side of the stock, and front wired guns with room in the handguard. It is usually the answer when nothing else will fit.

What current can it deliver?

Nuprol quote 20C continuous at 32A with a 40C burst at 64A. That is comfortable for a stock or moderately upgraded AEG.

Can I charge it on a normal charger?

Only on a balance charger that supports LiPo. Never use a NiMH charger, and never leave a LiPo charging unattended.
