The big upgrade in the V3 is the shaped mesh that now covers your ears. Because it is mesh, it shields you from painful side shots without muffling your hearing, so you stay aware of callouts and movement around you.

Yes. The V3 adds shaped mesh sections that cover your ears, and because they are mesh rather than solid they protect you without deadening your hearing.

Do I still need eye protection?

Yes. This is a lower face shield only. You must wear separate rated eye protection or goggles to guard your eyes during any airsoft game.

Is it comfortable when aiming?
