Reliable 3V coin cell power

The Panasonic CR1620 is a genuine 3V lithium coin cell built for compact, low-profile electronics. Lithium-manganese dioxide chemistry gives it a long shelf life and a stable output voltage, so it holds performance until close to the end of its life.

Ideal for optics and small devices

It is a popular choice for compact red dot sights and other optics, as well as wristwatches, car key fobs, calculators and small remotes. If your device is marked CR1620, this Panasonic cell is a straight replacement.

Getting the size right

The code tells you the size: CR for lithium, then 1620 for a 16 mm diameter and 2.0 mm height. That means it is thinner than a CR2032 and will not interchange with it, so always match the exact number printed on your old battery or in the manual.

Specification and recycling

It carries a 3V nominal voltage, around 70 mAh of capacity and weighs roughly 1.2 g. As a single-use primary cell it must not be recharged, and should be recycled at a battery collection point when spent. For more cells and power options, see our BBs, gas and batteries range.

Frequently asked questions

What is the CR1620 used for?

The CR1620 is a 3V lithium coin cell widely used in compact red dot sights and optics, wristwatches, car key fobs, calculators and other small electronics. It is a very common size for low-profile devices that need a slim, reliable battery.

Will it power my red dot sight?

If your sight or optic specifies a CR1620, then yes. Always check the battery marking or manual for your specific model, as similar-looking sights sometimes use a CR2032 or CR1632 instead. The number encodes the size, so it must match exactly.

How do I read the CR1620 code?

CR means lithium chemistry, and 1620 gives the dimensions: 16 mm diameter and 2.0 mm height. That is why a CR1620 will not substitute for a CR2032, which is physically thicker.

How long does it last?

With around 70 mAh and lithium chemistry, it offers a long shelf life and stable output. Real-world runtime depends on the device, but in low-drain optics and watches it can last a long time before needing replacement.

Is it rechargeable?

No. This is a single-use primary lithium cell and must not be recharged. Please recycle it at a battery collection point once it is spent.
