Lightweight enamelware for the outdoors

The Petromax Enamel Pan pairs a glass and steel compound coating with a wooden handle to give you a light, tough cooking pot that is happy on a camp stove or straight over an open fire. It is compact enough to slip into a rucksack yet robust enough for real outdoor use, which is exactly what you want on a hike or a night under canvas.

Cook and carry with confidence

The wooden handle doubles as a natural heat shield, so you can lift and pour without immediately reaching for a cloth. The enamel surface is scratch-resistant and wipes clean easily, keeping washing-up quick when water is precious.

Measure on the move

Internal scaling marked inside the pan helps you judge water and portions accurately, useful for rehydrating meals, brewing up or cooking for a group without carrying a separate measuring cup.

Sizes and finishes

Choose from 0.5L and 1L capacities in classic black or white. The 1L version measures around 8.7 x 31.8 x 17.7cm and weighs approximately 630g, striking a sensible balance between capacity and pack weight for camping, bushcraft and shooting weekends.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does it come in?

The Petromax enamel pan is offered in 0.5L and 1L sizes, so you can pick the capacity that suits solo cooking or a small group.

Can I put it straight on the fire?

Yes. The enamelled steel body is made for open-fire cooking, and the wooden handle stays cooler than metal, giving you a safer grip.

Is the enamel durable?

The surface is scratch-resistant and easy to clean. As with all enamelware, avoid heavy knocks and metal utensils that can chip the coating.

What is the internal scaling for?

Marked scaling inside the pan lets you measure water and ingredients on the move, so you can portion accurately without extra kit.

Is it good for hiking?

Very much so. It is lightweight, compact and packable, which makes it a practical choice for hikers, campers and anyone cooking outdoors.
