Reliable fire selection, restored

The SHS V2 Selector Plate keeps your AEG switching cleanly between safe, semi-auto and full-auto. It is the part that ties the external selector to the gearbox internals, so a tired or cracked plate can leave you stuck between modes at the worst moment. This fresh unit puts crisp, dependable selection back in your hands.

Built to last

Moulded from nylon-reinforced polymer, it stands up to the heat and wear inside a working gearbox, while the low-resistance copper contact plate carries the electrical connection for reliable mode changes. It is a small part that has a big effect on how your rifle behaves.

Standard V2 fit

At 74mm overall with a 10mm selector tab, it matches most Version 2 gearboxes in M4, M16 and similar AEGs. That makes it an easy, low-cost repair for one of the most common platforms in UK airsoft.

Fitting help on hand

Swapping a selector plate means opening the gearbox, so it suits players comfortable with a strip-down or a visit to our Kent airsoft repair service. Browse more spares in our airsoft accessories range.

Frequently asked questions

What does the selector plate do?

It sits inside the gearbox and links the external fire selector to the trigger and cut-off mechanism, so it controls clean switching between safe, semi-auto and full-auto.

Which gearboxes does it fit?

It suits most Version 2 gearboxes found in M4, M16 and similar AEGs. Its 74mm length and 10mm tab match standard TM-spec V2 boxes.

Why does the copper contact matter?

The copper contact plate carries the electrical connection for fire selection, helping ensure reliable mode changes and a positive, repeatable action.

Is this a common repair part?

Yes. Selector plates wear or crack over time, and swapping one is a routine gearbox repair that restores accurate fire selection cheaply.

Do I need UKARA or to be 18?

No. It is an internal spare part, so there is no age restriction and no UKARA requirement.
