Big warmth, small package

Part of Snugpak’s Basecamp range, the TSB (The Sleeping Bag) is outstanding value for money. It is lightweight, highly compressible and mummy shaped, making it just as suitable for a first night under the stars as it is for seasoned campers, UK military and cadet forces.

Rated for most UK seasons

With a comfort rating of -2C and a low rating to -7C, the TSB covers spring, summer and autumn with ease, and takes the edge off colder shoulder-season nights. It is a genuine 3-season bag that will not let you down when the temperature drops.

Clever layered construction

The secret is the combination of a SuperSoft lining that is soft to the touch and adds real warmth, Isofibre insulation that springs back to life after being compressed, and a tough Aqualight outer fabric for durability. Synthetic fill also keeps working if it gets damp.

Easy to live with

A two-way side zip makes getting in and out simple, and anti-snag zipper tape stops those frustrating jams in the dark. It all packs into a matching olive green compression sack that takes up very little room in your pack.

Light and packable

At just 1650g including the sack and packing to around 28 cm x 24 cm, the TSB earns its place in any kit list without weighing you down on the trail.

Frequently asked questions

How cold can I use the TSB in?

It carries a comfort rating of -2C and a low rating to -7C, which covers most UK seasons comfortably. For deep winter you would want a warmer bag, but for spring through autumn it is ideal.

How small does it pack down?

Very small. The TSB compresses to roughly 28 cm x 24 cm in its included compression sack and weighs about 1650g, so it slips easily into a bergen or rucksack.

What insulation does it use?

It uses Snugpak's Isofibre synthetic insulation, which springs back to life after being compressed. Synthetic fill also keeps insulating even if it gets damp, unlike down.

Is it a mummy or square shape?

It is a mummy shape, which hugs the body to reduce dead air and retain heat more efficiently than a rectangular bag, while still keeping the weight down.

Who is the TSB best suited to?

It is great value for first-timers under the stars and experienced campers alike, and is popular with UK military and cadet forces thanks to its warmth-to-weight and durability.
