Why People Keep Buying These
The Stryke is the trouser that made 5.11 a household name in the uniformed world, and the reason is the fabric. Flex-Tac ripstop is a 65/35 polyester cotton blend with two way stretch, so when you kneel, climb or get into a vehicle the trousers move rather than pulling. Anyone who has spent a day in rigid trousers understands what that is worth.
The Teflon Finish
The fabric carries a Teflon treatment for soil and stain resistance. In practice mud, coffee and oil sit on the surface long enough to be wiped rather than soaking straight in. Combined with fast drying, it is why these are so popular for travel and for shifts where you cannot go home and change.
The Knee Detail
There is a discreet double knee with an internal pocket for knee pads, sold separately. Discreet is the point: the pockets are invisible when empty, so the trousers do not look tactical when you are not using them, and take pads when you are.
Who Wears Them
Police, military, uniformed security, contractors, and a great many people doing outdoor work and bushcraft who simply want trousers that last. We are Kent’s only authorised 5.11 Tactical retailer, so come and try a pair on rather than guessing at a size. The full range is in our clothing section.
