The UCO Original Candle Lantern Kit 2.0 is a camping icon for good reason. It delivers warm, natural light and a touch of cosy heat for up to 9 hours per candle, with no batteries, no charging and nothing to run flat at the worst moment. Slide the glass chimney down, light the exposed wick, and you have a reliable glow for the tent, the tarp or the table.

Constant flame, clever design

As the candle burns, a spring-loaded tube gently pushes it upward so the flame stays at a steady height. A viewing slot on the side lets you check how much candle is left, while the easy-slide glass chimney and twist-lock base keep everything secure and simple to use.

Built to travel

The anodised aluminium body is light and tough, and the whole lantern collapses to just 4.25in tall for packing. The included Cocoon case wraps it to prevent scratches, dents and glass breakage in transit, so it survives life in a rucksack.

More light where you want it

The kit adds a clip-on side reflector that directs and boosts the light in one direction, ideal for reading, cooking or lighting a work area. A carry handle and hanging hook let you place or suspend it wherever you need the glow.

How long does one candle last?

A single UCO 9-hour candle gives up to 9 hours of soft light and a little warmth. The spring-loaded tube pushes the candle up as it burns, so the flame stays at a constant height.

What candles fit the Original Candle Lantern?

It runs standard UCO 9-hour candles, citronella candles to help keep insects away, or long-burning 12-hour beeswax candles. All slot straight into the spring-loaded tube.

Is it safe to use inside a tent?

It is designed with a glass chimney and sturdy metal frame to contain the flame, but any open flame needs ventilation and care. Never leave it unattended, keep it clear of fabric, and follow UCO's safety guidance.

How small does it pack down?

The chimney slides down so the lantern collapses to about 4.25in tall and 2in wide. With the included Cocoon case it travels safely in a pack without risking scratches or a broken chimney.

What comes in the kit?
