Genuine Vorsk VMP-1 recoil assembly

The recoil assembly is the spring and guide rod that make the VMP-1’s blowback action work. On each shot the bolt carrier is driven rearwards, compressing the recoil spring, which then pushes the carrier forward again so the gun returns to battery ready for the next round. It is a fundamental cycling part, and this is the genuine Vorsk replacement, matching Nuprol part reference VSP-18-10.

When to replace it

Recoil springs lose their tension with heavy use. When yours is tired you will notice sluggish cycling, the bolt failing to return fully to battery, and inconsistent performance from shot to shot. A fresh assembly restores crisp, snappy cycling and reliable feeding.

Access and fitment

The VMP-1 is based on the KSC MP9 gas system. To reach the recoil assembly you remove a screw at the front and push the recoil spring guide rod inwards, which releases the upper receiver and exposes the internals. The steel guide rod is built to take repeated cycles.

Keep your VMP-1 in the fight

This is a low-cost internal spare well worth keeping on hand. If a full strip is not for you, our Kent repair and servicing workshop can fit it and test the gun. Explore more airsoft spares and gear too.

Frequently asked questions

What does the recoil assembly do?

It is the spring and guide rod that the blowback drives rearwards on each shot, then pushes the bolt carrier forward again so the gun returns to battery ready to fire.

Which gun does it fit?

It is the correct recoil assembly for the Vorsk VMP-1 series gas blowback SMG, matching Nuprol part reference VSP-18-10.

What problems does a worn one cause?

A tired recoil spring leads to sluggish cycling, the bolt failing to return fully to battery, and inconsistent shot-to-shot behaviour.

How is it accessed?

On the VMP-1 you remove a screw at the front and push the recoil spring guide rod in to release the upper receiver, exposing the internals.

Is the VMP-1 a copy of another gun?

Yes. The VMP-1 internals are based on the KSC MP9 system, which is why many MP9 aftermarket parts are compatible.
