The Vortex Sport Cantilever Mount holds your 30mm scope at a 1.50 inch centre height with a 2 inch forward offset, the geometry AR-platform shooters need for proper eye alignment. The cantilever design pushes the optic forward over the handguard, so you gain eye relief and a natural cheek weld without craning your neck or straining for the reticle.

Machined from 6061 aluminium

Cut from 6061 aluminium and finished in a hard anodised matte black, the mount is light at just 5.39 oz yet rigid enough to hold zero under recoil. It clamps to any Picatinny rail, so it suits airguns, rimfire and full-bore rifles alike.

Dual screws for a rock-solid hold

Each ring cap and the rail clamp use dual screws for even pressure and a repeatable return to zero. Torque the rail cross-bolts to 20 in-lbs and the ring caps to 18 in-lbs for a secure, stress-free grip that protects your glass.

It takes 30mm tube scopes. The rings are 30mm, so check your scope's main tube diameter before ordering. Many tactical and low-light optics use a 30mm tube.

Why choose a cantilever mount over standard rings?

The 2-inch forward offset pushes the scope out over the handguard, giving you the correct eye relief and a comfortable, upright head position on AR-style rifles where the rail sits well behind the natural mounting point.

What is the correct torque for the screws?
