A wider field of view than the 10×42 and steadier in the hand, which makes it the easier binocular to use for long periods or from an unsupported position.
The Harness Is Included
The GlassPak harness comes with them rather than being sold separately, and it changes how you use a binocular. Round your neck they swing, bang against your chest and end up in a pocket. In a harness they sit still, stay protected, and come to your eyes in one movement. Most people who try one stops using a neck strap.
Nitrogen Purging, In Plain English
The air inside has been replaced with dry nitrogen and the housing sealed. That means no internal moisture, so they cannot fog up on the inside when you go from a cold morning into a warm car. External condensation still happens, but that wipes off. It is the difference between a binocular that works in British weather and one that does not. More in our optics range.
