Illuminated V-Brite Reticle

The V-Brite MOA reticle uses a battery-powered illuminated centre dot for easy aiming in low light, then works as a standard etched reticle in good conditions. It is a genuinely useful feature for dawn and dusk shooting where a plain black reticle can disappear against dark backgrounds.

Machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium with a hard anodised matte black finish, the Crossfire II is shockproof, waterproof and fogproof thanks to nitrogen purging and O-ring seals. What is the V-Brite reticle?

The V-Brite is a second focal plane MOA reticle with a battery-powered illuminated centre dot. In good light it works as a standard etched reticle, and when you switch on illumination the centre dot glows for a precise, easy-to-see aiming point in low-light conditions such as dawn and dusk.

Is the 3-9x40 a good all-round magnification?

Yes. The 3-9x range is one of the most versatile for general shooting, giving a wide field of view at 3x for close and moving targets, and enough magnification at 9x for precise shots at distance. It suits air rifles, rimfire and centrefire alike.

Does the illumination need a battery?

Yes, the V-Brite centre dot uses a battery to power the illumination. The reticle remains fully usable as an etched reticle if the battery runs down, so you are never left without an aiming reference in the field.

Are mounts supplied?

No, mounts are sold separately. This is a 1 inch tube scope, so you will need 1 inch rings or a one-piece mount to fit your rail. Our team can recommend the correct ring height and base for your rifle and objective.

What does the VIP warranty cover?

The Vortex VIP warranty is unlimited, unconditional and lifetime. Vortex will repair or replace the scope if it is ever damaged or defective, whatever the cause and with no receipt required. It does not cover loss, theft or deliberate damage.
