Restore reliable feeding to your Bird series pistol

If your WE Big Bird or Little Bird has started double feeding or dropping BBs, a worn feed lip is almost certainly the cause. This genuine WE feed lip is a direct replacement for the polymer top piece on your magazine, bringing back the clean, consistent feeding your GBB pistol was built to deliver.

The role it plays

The feed lip holds and releases the top BB at exactly the right height and angle for the nozzle to chamber it. Because the nozzle strikes it on every single cycle, the shape has to be perfect, and even small cracks or deformation quickly turn into misfeeds and stoppages.

A known wear item

Feed lips fatigue over time. Thousands of loading cycles, constant nozzle contact and the odd drop gradually crack or spread the polymer. When that happens, tuning the hop or gas will not help, so replacing the lip is the real fix rather than a patch.

Quick to swap

Fitting is easy: drift out the retaining pin, change the lip and reassemble. It is a cheap repair that saves the cost of a new magazine and keeps your pistol running. Browse more airsoft accessories, or let our airsoft repair and servicing team fit it for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the feed lip for?

The feed lip is the polymer top piece of a gas magazine that holds and releases the top BB so the pistol nozzle can chamber it. Its geometry controls feeding, so when it wears the gun starts to misfeed and jam.

Which magazines does this fit?

This is the WE Big Bird and Little Bird pattern feed lip, made for those WE magazine bodies. Feed lips are platform-specific, so it will not fit Hi-Capa, 1911, M9 or EU series magazines.

How do I know it needs replacing?

Check for cracks, chipped corners or a deformed lip. Symptoms are double feeds, BBs dropping from the top of the mag and inconsistent feeding even when the gas and seals are fine.

Why does the lip wear out?

The nozzle contacts the lip on every cycle and the mag takes constant loading and knocks. Over time this stresses the polymer until it cracks or spreads, which is why it is a standard wear item worth keeping spare.

Is fitting straightforward?

Yes. Remove the retaining pin, take out the old lip, then fit the new lip and any top seal in the same orientation before refitting the pin. Seat it squarely so feeding stays consistent.
