Fix feeding faults on your Hi-Capa

If your WE Hi-Capa is double feeding, dropping BBs or refusing to chamber cleanly, a worn feed lip is the usual suspect. This genuine WE feed lip is a direct replacement for the polymer top piece on your Hi-Capa gas magazine, restoring reliable, consistent feeding for a fraction of the cost of a new mag.

What the feed lip does

The feed lip holds, positions and releases the top BB so the pistol nozzle can strip it into the hop-up at exactly the right height and angle. Because the nozzle contacts it on every cycle, the geometry has to be spot on, and even small cracks or deformation lead to misfeeds and jams.

Why it wears out

Feed lips are a known wear item. Thousands of loading cycles, the constant nozzle contact and the odd knock or drop gradually crack or spread the polymer. Once that happens no amount of gas or hop tuning will make the mag feed properly, so a fresh lip is the real fix.

Simple to replace

Swapping it is easy: remove the retaining pin, lift out the old lip and fit the new one in the same orientation. Keep a spare in your kit and browse more airsoft accessories, or book our airsoft repair and servicing to have it done for you.

Frequently asked questions

What does a feed lip do?

The feed lip is the plastic top piece on a gas magazine that holds, positions and releases the top BB so the pistol's nozzle can strip it cleanly into the hop-up and chamber. Get the geometry wrong and the gun will not feed reliably.

How do I know my feed lip needs replacing?

Look for cracks, chipped corners or a spread, deformed lip. Symptoms include double feeds, misfeeds, BBs dropping out of the top of the mag, or generally inconsistent feeding even when the seals and gas are fine.

Which magazines does this fit?

This is the WE Hi-Capa pattern feed lip, designed for WE Hi-Capa gas magazines. Feed lips are platform-specific, so a Hi-Capa lip will not fit a 1911, M9 or EU series mag.

Why do feed lips wear out?

The pistol nozzle contacts the lip on every single cycle, and magazines get dropped, knocked and loaded thousands of times. That constant stress eventually cracks or deforms the polymer, which is why it is a known wear item.

How hard is it to fit?

It is a straightforward job. Remove the retaining pin, lift out the old lip, then fit the new lip and any top seal or gasket in the same orientation before refitting the pin. Take your time to seat it correctly.
