The Wiley X WX Grid combines genuine safety-rated protection with premium optics. Shatterproof Selenite lenses meet ANSI Z87.1 and EN 166 standards, so these are as much protective eyewear as they are sunglasses, ideal for driving, fishing, shooting sports and demanding outdoor activity.

Captivate Polarised Clarity

The Captivate polarised grey lenses cut glare from water and flat surfaces while enhancing colour, contrast and depth perception for sharper, more comfortable vision. They deliver 100% UVA/UVB protection and block harmful blue light, and an oleophobic coating keeps dust, oil and water from sticking to the lens.

Seal Out the Elements

A removable Facial Cavity gasket forms a full seal behind the matte utility green frame, blocking wind, debris and peripheral light, which makes the WX Grid particularly well suited to water-based activities. Remove the seal and they wear as sleek everyday sunglasses. The kit includes the glasses, removable face seal, retention leash and a protective case.

Are these glasses safety rated?

Yes. The WX Grid meets ANSI Z87.1 and EN 166 safety standards with shatterproof Selenite lenses, so they offer genuine high-impact eye protection alongside their sunglasses styling, unusual for polarised contrast lenses.

What is the removable facial seal for?

The removable Facial Cavity seal is a foam gasket that fits behind the frame to block wind, dust, debris and peripheral light. Fit it for demanding outdoor or water-based activity, or remove it to wear the WX Grid as everyday sunglasses.

Are these suitable for airsoft?

No. While the WX Grid is ANSI Z87.1 impact rated, the manufacturer and we do not recommend it for airsoft or impact sports where BB strikes are expected. For airsoft, choose dedicated full-seal goggles rated for that use, and ask our team for guidance.

What comes in the box?

Each WX Grid is supplied with the glasses, the removable full-seal facial gasket, a retention leash and a protective case, so you have everything needed to switch between sealed and open configurations and keep the lenses safe.
