What to Look for in Airsoft Combat Trousers
Not all trousers marketed as “tactical” are actually good for airsoft. Here’s what separates the ones that work from the ones that don’t:
Must-Have Features
- Reinforced knees, you’ll kneel more than you think. Internal knee pad pockets are ideal; at minimum you want double-layered fabric at the knees
- Ripstop fabric, the weave pattern that stops small tears from becoming big ones. Essential for woodland play

Combat trouser sizing varies significantly between brands:

- Kombat UK, Uses UK waist sizes (28-44). Generally true to size
- British Army surplus, Uses military sizing (waist/inseam, e.g., 80/80). Different from civilian sizing, check conversion charts

Pro tip: If you’re between sizes, go larger. You can always use a belt but trousers that are too tight restrict movement and rip at the seams.
