Notes that survive any weather

When the rain comes down and paper turns to pulp, the A5 Plastic Blank Battle Slate Card keeps working. Made from a tough, waterproof plastic that is virtually unbreakable, it lets you record orders and information in the wettest, muddiest and coldest conditions the field can throw at you.

Built for the job

The double sided A5 surface, 148mm by 210mm, gives you plenty of room for patrol reports, sketch maps, range cards and O group information. A punched lanyard hole means it stays secured to your kit and always to hand when you need it.

Write, wipe, reuse

Use chinagraph pencils or lumocolor pens for notes that rub off cleanly. Permanent markers work too, and an alcohol based cleaning solution brings the card back to blank so you can use it again and again. That reusability makes it a genuinely economical piece of kit.

UK made and cadet approved

Manufactured in the UK, this slate card is a long standing essential for cadets, military personnel and anyone who needs reliable notes outdoors. Pair it with the rest of your field kit in our tactical range.

Frequently asked questions

What can I write on it with?

Chinagraph pencils and lumocolor style pens work best and rub off easily. Permanent markers work fine too, and an alcohol based cleaning solution will give the card a good clean afterwards.

Is it genuinely waterproof?

Yes. The card is made from a weatherproof plastic that can be used in rain, mud and cold without the surface failing, which is why it is favoured for field orders and briefings.

What is a battle slate card used for?

It is an aide memoire for writing orders, patrol reports, sketch maps, O group information and range cards during exercises and operations, in conditions where paper would fail.

Does it come with a ring binder?

This listing is for a single blank A5 card with a lanyard hole. It can be added to a ring binder or looped onto kit using the punched hole.

Can I reuse it?

Yes. Clean off your notes and the card is ready to use again. That reusability is what makes it a long term staple of cadet and military kit.
