Its free-running bearing head allows the spring to rotate freely as it compresses and releases, rather than binding against a static face. The result is a smoother cycle and more consistent energy return shot after shot.

Left unchecked, a twisting spring puts uneven load on the piston and can shorten the life of both. By letting the spring uncoil naturally, this guide relieves that tension on every cycle, prolonging spring life and reducing the risk of piston damage. It is cheap insurance for an expensive gearbox.

Which gearbox does this fit?

It is designed for Version 3 airsoft AEG gearboxes, found in many AK, G36, SIG and similar platforms. Check your gun's gearbox version before ordering.

What does the bearing actually do?

The bearing head lets the rear of the spring rotate freely as it compresses and releases, instead of binding against a fixed face. That stops the spring twisting and helps it return energy more consistently.

Will it make my gun more powerful?

On its own it will not change FPS. It improves reliability and consistency, and protects your spring and piston, which is why it is a popular pairing with an upgrade spring.

Is it hard to fit?

It is a straightforward gearbox part but installation requires stripping the gearbox. If you are not confident, our Kent workshop can fit it for you.

Why replace the standard spring guide?

Many stock guides are plastic or lack a bearing, allowing the spring to twist and wear. A steel bearing guide adds durability and smooths every firing cycle.
