What it is

The Point Cut Off Lever is a steel replacement for the semi-auto lever inside Version 3 AEG gearboxes. Also known as a yaw bar, it resets the trigger after each shot so your rifle fires clean, controlled single rounds rather than dumping into full-auto.

Why upgrade

Most factory cut off levers are pressed from soft alloy and wear quickly, especially if you shoot a lot of semi. As the tip rounds off, the gun starts skipping semi-auto or drops into full-auto only. Swapping to a steel Point lever gives a harder, longer-lasting wearing surface and a dependable fix.

Fitment

This lever suits standard Version 3 gearboxes found in AK, G36, SCAR-H and many other AEGs, and installs without modification. It arrives with the selector spring and fixing screw so you are ready to go.

What is a cut off lever and why does it matter?

The cut off lever, sometimes called a yaw bar, resets the trigger contacts after each shot in semi-auto. Without a working lever your AEG will only fire full-auto, so it is essential for controlled, single shots.

My gun only fires full-auto. Is this the fix?

Very often, yes. A worn or broken cut off lever is the most common cause of losing semi-auto. Replacing it usually restores normal fire selection, though it is worth checking the trigger contacts at the same time.

Does it come with the spring and screw?

Yes. It is supplied with the selector spring and the fixing screw, so you have everything needed to seat it in the gearbox.

Will it fit my Version 3 gearbox?

It is designed to drop into most standard Version 3 gearboxes, as used in AK, G36, SCAR-H and similar builds, without modification. Compare it to your old lever if in doubt.

Do I need to open the gearbox to fit it?

Yes, the gearbox shell needs splitting to swap the lever. If you would rather leave it to a technician, our in-house Kent workshop can carry out the work.
