The world’s most famous BB gun

The Daisy Red Ryder is a genuine slice of shooting history, a lever-action 4.5mm BB air rifle inspired by the classic Western carbine. This fun kit is a perfect introduction to safe, supervised target shooting and back-garden plinking.

How it shoots

A spring-piston powerplant pushes 4.5mm (.177) steel BBs at up to 350 fps, a manageable power level ideal for learning the fundamentals of aim and safety. The under-lever cocking action and 650 BB reservoir let you keep shooting without constant reloading.

Classic build

The rifle pairs a smooth-bore steel barrel with a stained solid wood stock and forearm, a blade front sight, an adjustable rear sight and a manual crossbolt safety. It measures around 35.4 inches long and weighs a light 2.2 lbs, so smaller shooters can handle it easily.

Getting started safely

Always shoot with a safe backstop and eye protection, and supervise younger users at all times. This item fires steel BBs and is sold to over 18s only. Find targets and accessories in our outdoor and shooting range.

Is it suitable for younger shooters?

It is light at around 2.2 lbs and easy to handle, but it fires steel BBs and is sold to over 18s only. Always supervise younger users and use eye protection with a safe backstop.
