Purpose-built for spoon carving
The Morakniv 162 Double Edge Hook Knife is the tool green woodworkers reach for when hollowing spoons, bowls and scoops. Its tight-curve hook, with a 15mm internal radius, is shaped to glide along the inside of a concave form without digging in or catching, giving you clean, controlled cuts.
Cut in both directions
Both edges of the hook are sharpened, so you can carve on the push stroke and the pull stroke. That flexibility lets you follow the grain and work efficiently from either side, speeding up the job and improving the finish inside tight curves.
Quality Swedish steel and handle
The 55mm blade is forged from Sandvik 12C27 Swedish stainless steel, hardened to 56.5 HRC for a keen, durable edge that strops back to razor sharpness. An oiled birchwood handle with a full rat-tail tang gives a warm, secure grip and the strength to work hard wood. The whole knife weighs just 62g for nimble control.
