Overview

The Hawke Fast Mount 3-9×50 AO IR (Mil Dot) is a versatile variable riflescope aimed at air rifle and rimfire shooters who want clarity, an illuminated reticle and mounts in the box. It ships with 9-11mm two-piece dovetail mounts so you can be shooting the same day.

Optics and reticle

Eleven layer fully multi-coated lenses deliver bright, high-contrast images, while the glass etched Mil Dot reticle gives multiple aim points for hold-over and hold-under. Red and green illumination across 5 brightness levels keeps the reticle visible against dark cover or bright targets.

Focus and adjustment

The adjustable objective corrects parallax from around 9m to infinity for a sharp picture at any practical range. Low-profile 1/4 MOA turrets with protective caps and a high torque zoom ring keep your settings put in the field.

Build and fitting

The 1in two-piece chassis is waterproof, fogproof and nitrogen purged. Explore more optics and gear in our outdoor shooting range.

Frequently asked questions

Does this scope come with mounts?

Yes. The Fast Mount is supplied with 9-11mm two-piece dovetail mounts, so it fits straight onto most air rifles and dovetail-railed rifles without buying rings separately.

What does AO mean on this scope?

AO stands for adjustable objective. The front ring corrects parallax and sharpens focus from around 9m to infinity, which is ideal for accurate close and mid-range shooting.

How does the illuminated reticle work?

The glass etched Mil Dot reticle offers red and green illumination across 5 brightness levels, or it can be switched off for a solid black reticle in good light.

Is it a first or second focal plane scope?

It is a second focal plane (SFP) scope, so the Mil Dot spacing is accurate for ranging at the 10x-equivalent top magnification setting.

Will it handle recoil?

Yes. It uses a 1in two-piece tube chassis and is nitrogen purged, waterproof and fogproof, and Hawke rate the Fast Mount range for all calibres.
