Turn a dovetail into a Weaver platform

The Hawke Rail Adaptor Base is a one-piece mount that converts a 3/8 inch (9-11mm) dovetail rifle rail into a Weaver base, opening up the huge range of Weaver and Picatinny scope mounts to your air rifle or rimfire.

Beat barrel droop

Designed for shooters fighting barrel droop, the base can be installed and adjusted to add elevation angle. Many air rifles simply run out of downward turret travel, and this adaptor recovers that adjustment so you can zero properly.

Dial in your trajectory

After fitting to the rail, the rear set screw is used to gradually tilt the Weaver railtop downward toward the trajectory of your pellet or bullet. That makes it a genuine asset for compensating for extreme drop over long range.

Stays put under recoil

What does this adaptor base do?

How does the elevation adjustment work?

Once installed, the rear set screw is turned to gradually tilt the Weaver railtop downward toward the trajectory of your pellet or bullet, recovering usable elevation on your scope turrets.

Will it move under recoil?

No. A forward position stop keeps the base from creeping down the rail during recoil, so your zero stays stable.

Why would I need extra elevation?

Many spring and PCP air rifles suffer barrel droop, meaning the scope runs out of downward adjustment. This base tilts the optic to bring the point of aim back within the scope's range.

Do I still need scope rings?

Yes. The base creates a Weaver platform, so you then fit Weaver or Picatinny rings sized to your scope tube on top of it.
