Never sleep on cold ground again

Sleeping straight on the ground drains your body heat and leaves you stiff, cold and exhausted. The Kombat UK Military Roll Mat puts a layer of insulating closed-cell foam between you and the earth, so you wake up rested and ready.

XPE closed-cell foam

The 0.8cm XPE closed-cell foam traps warmth and resists moisture, giving you reliable 3-season insulation without soaking up water like open-cell mats. At roughly 200g it is light enough to carry all day yet tough enough for repeated field use.

Full-length coverage

Measuring 180 x 50cm, the mat supports you head to toe. It rolls down compactly and secures with elasticated bands, strapping neatly to the outside of a bergen or daysack.

Built for the field

The subdued olive green finish suits military training, cadet exercises, DofE expeditions and wild camping alike. Explore more tactical and outdoor gear for your next night out.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need a roll mat?

Sleeping directly on the ground drains your body heat and leaves you cold and stiff. A roll mat puts insulating foam between you and the earth so you sleep warmer and more comfortably.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. The XPE closed-cell foam resists moisture rather than soaking it up like open-cell mats, so it stays usable on damp ground.

How thick is the mat?

It is 0.8cm of closed-cell foam, which balances reliable 3-season insulation against a light, packable weight of around 200g.

How does it pack down?

It rolls up compactly and secures with elasticated bands, so it straps neatly to the outside of a bergen or daysack.

What is it good for?

It suits military training, cadet exercises, DofE expeditions, wild camping and general nights out in the field.
