The Grey Hi-Capa
The R14 is the non railed Hi-Capa in grey, and it is the one people choose when they want the platform without the tactical clutter. No rail under the dust cover means a cleaner line and slightly less to snag on a holster. Everything that makes a Hi-Capa worth buying is still here: the double stack magazine, the metal build and the tightbore barrel.
The Numbers
It measures around 220mm overall with a 113mm 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel. Nuprol quote roughly 320 fps on Nuprol 2.0 gas and 350 fps on Nuprol 3.0, both on a 0.20g BB at 20C. Note that the 3.0 figure is at or above the pistol limit at some UK sites, so check your site rules and chrono it before you play. We can do that for you on our Rochester range.
Spares In The Box
Raven include a spare gas nozzle and a spare O-ring set, which is a genuinely thoughtful touch. Those are the two parts most likely to need replacing on any gas blowback pistol, and having them already in the box means a season ending failure becomes a ten minute job. A manual, a parts diagram and a Raven PVC patch are also included.
Magazines
It takes the full Raven Hi-Capa magazine range: the 23 round standard gas magazine, the 23 round CO2 version for cold weather, and the 48 round extended if you would rather not reload. Spares are widely available and shared across the Hi-Capa line.
Buying It
This is a realistic imitation firearm, so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration and you must be over 18. Stock up in our gas and BBs range, and our Kent repair workshop handles servicing in house. Compare it against the rest in our best airsoft pistols guide.
