Cast iron built to last a lifetime

The Petromax FP20H Fire Skillet is high-quality, pre-seasoned cast iron made for serious cooking indoors and out. Cast iron delivers superb heat retention and even heat distribution, so you get consistent results whether you are searing a steak, frying breakfast, baking or roasting.

The right size for one or two

At 20cm across the top the FP20H is ideal for small meals, side dishes or solo use. It holds around 1.1 litres and weighs roughly 1,600g, giving it the thermal mass that makes cast iron cooking so forgiving and even.

Cook anywhere, on any heat

This skillet is at home on gas, electric, induction and ceramic hobs, in the oven and out over an open campfire, so it moves with you from kitchen to campsite. Two sturdy side handles give a safe, stable grip and twin pouring spouts let you serve without spills.

Better with every meal

The natural non-stick patina only improves with use, developing richer flavour and easier cleaning over time, and it contains no PFAS. Care for it well and this skillet becomes a reliable companion for every cooking adventure.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to season it before use?

No. The FP20H arrives pre-seasoned and ready to cook. With regular use the natural patina deepens, improving the non-stick surface and the flavour it delivers over time.

Can I use it on an induction hob?

Yes. Cast iron is fully induction compatible, and this skillet also works on gas, electric and ceramic hobs, in the oven and directly over an open campfire.

How many people does it serve?

At 20cm across it is sized for one to two servings, making it perfect for solo meals, side dishes or cooking for a pair at home or in camp.

Why two handles instead of one?

The two side handles give a balanced, secure grip for lifting a heavy, hot cast iron pan safely, and the twin pouring spouts let you tip out sauces and fat cleanly.

How do I clean and care for it?

Rinse with hot water, avoid harsh detergent, dry thoroughly and wipe with a little oil to protect the patina and prevent rust. Never leave cast iron to soak or air dry.
