A first headlamp made just for children

The Petzl Tikkid is a compact headlamp designed from the ground up for children aged three and older. Everything about it, from the gentle beam to the protected battery pack, is built with young adventurers in mind.

Kind to young eyes

Output is deliberately capped at 20 lumens to limit photo-biological risk and protect sensitive young eyes, while still giving plenty of light for reading, camping and play. Three modes cover a soft reading light, a brighter high setting and a white strobe to stay visible from a distance.

Thoughtful safety features

The headband releases under tension so it will not snag, and the battery pack is protected and tool-free, keeping little fingers away from the cells. An automatic shut-off after one hour means it also works beautifully as a reassuring night light.

Ready for the outdoors

At just 80g and with IPX4 weather resistance, the Tikkid handles rain and rough handling with ease, a great addition to any family’s outdoor kit.

Batteries included

It comes ready to go with three AAA batteries, and can later be upgraded to Petzl’s CORE rechargeable battery when you are ready.
