Turn protection into comms

The SWATCOM SC37 Fleximic is a detachable noise-cancelling microphone that converts SWATCOM Active8 and MSA Sordin Supreme headsets into full communications headsets. It attaches quickly to the front side pinion of the headset and lifts off again just as easily when you only need hearing protection.

Clear audio in noise

At its heart is a noise-cancelling, water-resistant electret microphone that strips out background noise so your voice comes through clearly, even on a loud range, in a vehicle or in wind. Audio runs on a 3.5mm stereo connection for reliable, familiar wiring.

MIL-Spec connectivity

The SC37 is fitted with a NATO NEXUS TP-120 MIL-Spec connector that plugs straight into the SWATCOM PTT2000 series of push-to-talk units, enabling use with most two-way radio transceivers. That makes it an easy, standards-based way to add radio comms to your existing headset.

Light and tough

Weighing just 35 grams, the microphone connector is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible, while Kevlar-reinforced cables give it the durability to survive difficult conditions. Browse more tactical comms and gear at Platoon Stores.

Frequently asked questions

Which headsets does the SC37 fit?

It is designed to attach to SWATCOM Active8 headband headsets and MSA Sordin Supreme headsets, converting them from hearing protection into full two-way communications headsets.

How does it connect to a radio?

The SC37 terminates in a NATO NEXUS TP-120 MIL-Spec connector that plugs into the SWATCOM PTT2000 range of push-to-talk units, which in turn interface with most two-way radio transceivers.

Is the microphone noise-cancelling?

Yes. It uses a noise-cancelling, water-resistant electret microphone that suppresses background noise so your transmissions stay clear in loud environments such as ranges, vehicles or wind.

How durable is it?

The Fleximic is built with Kevlar-reinforced cables to withstand hard use in demanding conditions, and the microphone element is water resistant. Despite this it weighs only 35 grams.

Can it be removed when not needed?

Yes. The SC37 is a detachable Fleximic that anchors securely to the front side pinion of the headset in use, but lifts off easily when you only need hearing protection without the boom mic.
