Protection you can rely on

The Sharp Edge from Edge Tactical is a proper piece of protective eyewear, tested in independent laboratories to a stack of impact standards rather than just styled to look tough. The polycarbonate lenses and wraparound frame are built to shield your eyes from debris and impacts while giving a wide, unobstructed field of view.

Certified to serious standards

Edge Eyewear states the Sharp Edge meets the ANSI Z87.1+ high-impact safety standard, the MCEPS GL-PD 10-12 military ballistic standard and the EN166 F CE standard. The MCEPS test is why ballistic-rated eyewear is trusted against high-velocity impacts, well beyond ordinary safety glasses.

Clear vision in tough conditions

A Vapor Shield anti-fog coating is designed to keep the lenses clear even in demanding, humid conditions, while an anti-scratch coating protects the surface. The lenses also filter 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC radiation, so they double as genuine UV protection outdoors.

Comfortable, low-profile fit

The Sharp Edge uses a thin-temple design so the arms sit flat against your head, keeping a good seal with earmuffs, comms headsets and helmets. An adjustable thermoplastic rubber nosepiece lets you fine-tune the fit for comfort and grip.

Frequently asked questions

Are these ballistic rated?

Edge states the Sharp Edge is tested to the MCEPS GL-PD 10-12 military ballistic standard as well as ANSI Z87.1+ and EN166 F, which is why it is described as ballistic rated against high-velocity impacts.

Do the lenses fog up?

They carry Edge's Vapor Shield anti-fog coating, which is designed to keep the lenses clear even in humid and demanding conditions.

Will they fit with a helmet and ear protection?

Yes. The thin-temple design keeps the arms flat against your head so they maintain a good seal with earmuffs, comms headsets and helmets.

Do they offer UV protection?

Yes. The polycarbonate lenses filter 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC radiation, so they protect against harmful ultraviolet light outdoors.

Can I adjust the fit?

The nosepiece is an adjustable thermoplastic rubber (TPR) component, letting you fine-tune the fit for comfort and a secure grip.
