What this part does
The SHS 15 tooth half-rack piston is a hard-wearing replacement for a component that takes real punishment inside your AEG. Every cycle it is thrown down the cylinder and stopped hard by the sector gear, so a strong, well-made piston keeps your gearbox cycling smoothly and reliably.
Build and materials
Carbon steel teeth handle the repeated impact of gear engagement, while the fibre-reinforced plastic body stays light but resists cracking under sustained fire. The half-rack tooth design uses half-size teeth so the part fits a wider spread of gear sets than a full-rack piston.
Who it suits
This is an ideal first internal upgrade and a dependable rebuild spare. It works well with 32:1 standard-ratio gear sets and fits Version 2 and Version 3 gearboxes used in M4, M16, AK and most standard rifles.
Fitting and support
