A classic WE 1911 or MEU letting you down with double feeds and dropped BBs is almost always down to a tired feed lip. This genuine WE feed lip replaces the polymer top piece on your 1911 or MEU gas magazine, bringing back the crisp, consistent feeding these pistols are known for.

The job it does

The feed lip holds the top BB at the exact height and angle the nozzle needs to strip it into the hop-up. It is a precision part despite its size, and because the nozzle contacts it every single cycle, even a small crack or spread throws feeding out and causes jams.

A genuine wear item

Between thousands of loading cycles, constant nozzle contact and the inevitable knocks a magazine takes, the polymer lip eventually fatigues. No amount of gas or hop adjustment fixes a cracked lip, so replacing it is the proper cure rather than a workaround.

What is a feed lip and why does it matter?

The feed lip is the plastic top piece of a gas magazine that holds and releases the top BB so the nozzle can chamber it. Its shape controls feeding, so when it wears the pistol starts to misfeed, double feed or drop BBs.

Does this fit both 1911 and MEU mags?

Yes, it is the WE 1911 and MEU pattern feed lip, designed for that shared magazine family. Feed lips are platform-specific, so this part will not fit Hi-Capa, M9 or EU series magazines.

How do I know mine has failed?

Check for cracks, chipped edges or a deformed, spread lip. The tell-tale symptoms are double feeds, BBs dropping from the top of the mag, and inconsistent feeding even when your seals and gas are good.

Why is it a wear part?

The nozzle strikes the lip on every cycle and mags take constant loading, knocks and drops. Over time this stresses the polymer until it cracks or deforms, which is why keeping a spare lip on hand is smart.

Is it easy to replace?

Yes. Push out the retaining pin, remove the old lip, then seat the new lip and any top seal in the same orientation before refitting the pin. Work carefully so the new lip sits flush and square.
