The 5.11 Vlad Rescue Pen is far more than a writing instrument. Machined from lightweight yet tough aerospace-grade aluminium, it combines a dependable everyday pen with genuine emergency capability in a slim, pocketable 143mm package that goes everywhere with you.

Break glass when it counts

Remove the cap from the rear end to reveal a carbide-tip window breaker that can shatter tempered automotive glass. In a vehicle emergency it gives you a fast, reliable way out, and an integrated oxygen wrench adds further first-responder utility.

Writes anywhere

The retractable twist mechanism drives a replaceable, pressurised ink cartridge that keeps writing at awkward angles, in the cold and in the wet, where a standard pen would fail. A medium black cartridge is included and refills are easy.

Built for a secure grip

Full-surface gimping across the body and a strong steel pocket clip give you a positive, non-slip hold even in gloves or poor conditions, so the pen stays where you put it and works when you need it.
